For week 9, we chose to try an Hour of Code activity.  We have been working with Coding Awbie on Osmo, and this week we tried some Minecraft tutorials.

I love coding!  I chose Minecraft coding, the Voyage Aquatic.  I learned a lot of new commands.  I am a lot better at coding now.

I am reading 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.  It was a big surprise to find out that the monster was a submarine.  Now I know why the cannon balls bounced right off the monster.  I was surprised when Captain Nemo said that his pen was made out of whalebone and the ink was made out of squid ink.  I was also surprised when Captain Nemo said he had twelve thousand books in his library, and he had read all of them.  That would totally finish the Forty Book Challenge!

We chose a person to interview who showed great grit and determination in reaching a really big goal.  My person is my grandfather, who planted a church in India.  Click on my movie to hear his story.
